EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
ENGAGING ALL MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY IN HELPING TO KEEP COVINGTON CLEAN AND GREEN!
With support from Covington Partners and Skool Aid, Keep Covington Beautiful was proud to facilitate an after-school garden club at John G. Carlisle and Glenn O. Swing Elementary Schools where students learned about gardening, recycling, and the environment throughout 2019. In 2019, 165 2nd - 5th grade students participated in classes covering topics such as how to start seeds to grow vegetables and flowers, the importance of pollinators, waste reduction, litter prevention, recycling, composting, making bird feeders, making fresh salads from the garden, and more!
For educational programs in the classroom, please contact info@keepcovingtonbeautiful.com. We would love to join you!
