Who We Are

Since 2010, Keep Covington Beautiful has been a certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. We're a proud program of the Center for Great Neighborhoods and a dedicated partner of the City of Covington.

Our core mission is to inspire and support Covington residents in community improvement and beautification efforts. We achieve this through a series of annual events and ongoing initiatives centered on waste management, litter reduction, and community beautification.

Adopt-a-SpotLight ⭐️ A big thank you to our Adopt-a-Spot partners John and Mackenzie, who keep their corner of Greenup looking spick and span! And a big thank you to ALL Adopt-a-Spot participants - you all volunteered 648 hours and picked up 990 pounds in March!

Our Annual Spring River Sweep is taking place on Saturday, May 16. Join us as we cleanup the Ohio River shoreline, in conjunction with @orsancochannel. Register at the link in our bio 🦦

The 15th Street Bridge is a crucial pedestrian corridor, providing easy access for Westsiders to commute to Kroger and the shops along Madison, and for bikers to get from east to west without crossing busy roads. But its location off the beaten path means its often neglected. We were so glad for this group of volunteers who tackled the area for the Covington Green-Up last Saturday. They removed 175 pounds of litter from the bridge, making it safer and more pleasant for all those passing through!

Just wanted to showcase the magic Fidelity volunteers performed on our city’s pollinator gardens last week. Swipe to see the transformation! Huge thanks to every single volunteer who joined us for the Covington Green-Up. We could not be happier with the turnout - 560 volunteers and 11,645 pounds of trash collected! From mulching to litter pickup, your energy is what keeps our city vibrant and beautiful. We couldn’t do this without our incredible community. 6 gardens. 71 plants. 10,000 pounds of mulch. 103 volunteers. The Fidelity Cares crew showed up for Covington in a big way this week! They got their quite hands dirty reviving each of our city’s pollinator gardens - in turn supporting biodiversity and making our neighborhoods more beautiful. Huge thanks to this Thomas More University crew for cleaning the Licking River Greenway this morning! We spent the morning hiking the Licking River Greenway, from Randolph Park to Austinburg Neighborhood Park, and collected 40 pounds of trash! 🚮 Want to get your club or organization involved? Plogging through the Bluegrass

Our 3rd Annual Plogging Event is back on March 7th! What's plogging? It's jogging (or walking) while picking up litter. This year, we'll be hitting the alleyways of the Central Business District, then meeting back at West Sixth Brewery for beer and food. All materials will be provided. Registration closes February 27th.
